COLONEL JEFFREY POWERS, USMC (RET)
Founder

 

Powers Built Veteran Contracting Services was founded by Jeffrey Powers.  Born and raised in New York, Colonel Powers was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps following graduation from Villanova University. 

Colonel Powers is a veteran of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm where he commanded a 1,200 man Task Force into Kuwait as part of the lead Marine Corps contingent. During Desert Storm, Colonel Powers was decorated for valor while serving as the Task Force Operations Officer.  He has held command assignments with Marine Recon, a Dutch Marine rifle Company, a US Army Special Forces (Green Beret) training company, as well as the Officer in Charge of Special Operations Training Group (SOTG). During his 25 year career Col. Powers commanded two Light Armor Reconnaissance Battalions.  He motivated, trained and directed multinational, civilian and military personnel. 

Jeffrey Powers retired from the US Marine Corps in June 2003 after achieving the rank of Colonel.   He has served in the Fleet Marine Force and supporting establishments.  

Since his separation from the Marines in 2003, Jeff has held positions as a Consultant for Boeing for Future Combat Systems (’03-’04) and CEO of Homeland Security Group International (’04-’08) prior to founding Powers Built.  

Along with Colonel Powers, Powers Built Veteran Contracting Services professionals provide a range of diversity and years of industry experience in managing negotiated and competitively bid private contracts, state and local public works, and contracts subject to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and NAVFAC Construction Quality Management.  Our keys to success in each of these arenas is to identify our clients' requirements peculiar to their individual situations, organize the team of our professionals best experienced to provide superior results, and then excel in every aspect of the construction process to exceed their expectations of quality and service.
